- Contributes to the harmonization of gastric and intestinal activity
- Supports gastrointestinal mucosa and digestive functions
- 100% American Red Elm Bark: Dried and gently ground
It is composed of long-chain sugar molecules, also called polysaccharides, which form a viscous mass when they come into contact with water. This deposits as a layer on the inner wall of the stomach and intestines, and can thus naturally support the gastrointestinal tract of dogs and cats. Slippery elm bark helps dogs and cats recover, especially after stressful situations such as diarrhea and vomiting.
Slippery elm bark for dogs, a natural support for the gastrointestinal tract
In one study, numerous dogs were treated with a syrup made from slippery elm bark. After just a few days of application, significant improvement was observed after episodes of diarrhea and vomiting. Slippery elm bark has been shown to contribute to the harmonization of gastric and intestinal activity in these dogs.
Slippery elm bark for cats, an aid in hairball digestion
Another study showed that slippery elm bark can promote mucus production in cats' gastrointestinal tract, preventing swallowed hairballs from matting and passing through the intestines more easily. If swallowed hairs aren't excreted immediately, slippery elm bark has anti-inflammatory and soothing properties on cats' mucous membranes.
AniForte® Slippery Elm Bark is made from 100% American slippery elm bark, carefully dried and ground. This results in a pure, natural product perfectly suited to your pet's needs, thanks to its high quality standards. As for its taste, Slippery Elm Bark is very well accepted by both dogs and cats.
