Taurine is a must in any feline diet. Cats cannot synthesize taurine in sufficient quantities, so additional taurine supplementation is necessary if preparing homemade raw or cooked diets. Taurine deficiencies can cause diseases such as:

• Weakness in the heart muscle
• Problems in reproduction
• Poor growth of kittens

What dose do I give?

1 level measuring spoon contains approximately 1g of product.

For cats:

Serve 250 to 500 mg of taurine daily (1/4 to 1/2 scoop). Mix well with your food.

For dogs:

• Very small dogs (5 kilos): 0.5 grams per day (1/2 measuring spoon)
• Small dogs (10 kilos): 1 gram per day (1 measuring spoon)
• Medium dogs (30 kilos): 3 grams per day (3 measuring spoons)
  
• Large dogs (50 kilos): 5 grams per day (5 measuring spoons)
